Austin Knight Advertising
3/12/96
To whom it may concern,
In transferring to Sydney with Austin Knight in
December 1995, I took on the role of National Creative Director,
and was fortunate to assume the leadership of a fine crew of studio
people.
Jeni was a particularly important member of this
team.
An excellent writer, Jeni’s ability with
words and concepts barely overshadows a range of other talents.
Extraordinary enthusiasm and energy lie at the
core of Jeni’s personality. A sharp mind, genuine nature
and sparkling sense of humour has also created a broad network
of close friends and certainly impressed the range of Austin Knight
clients Jeni met during her stay with the company.
Many creative individuals prefer to stay at or
near the drawing boards of this world. Not so Jeni. I have never
met (nor am I likely to meet) an individual who is so incredibly
keen to throw themselves behind a project. Jeni is terrier-like
when it comes to amassing detail and background for her concepts
– often taking the initiative to research facts for the
development of strong creative solutions.
This is a rare gift.
All this enthusiasm and preparation is channelled
carefully into developing her ideas, and I have seen Jeni harness
the power of these attributes during impressive conceptual presentations
to clients.
Jeni left Austin Knight of her own accord to move
into feature writing – an area in which I believe she would
become particularly successful. But then, Jeni will always be
successful so long as she is using her capabilities as a lateral
thinker.
I count myself lucky to have been exposed to Jeni’s
zest for life – even if it was only for a few months.
I wish Jeni well for the future.

Yaffa Publishing

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
Jeni Goodsall worked for Yaffa Publishing Group
from August 1999 to April 2002. She started as Features Editor
for the company’s flagship magazine, AdNews, and was appointed
Deputy Editor in June 2000.
Right from the start, Jeni used her considerable
journalistic experience and intelligence to the full. Her dynamism
and output were enormous. She got on brilliantly with all the
industry contacts she dealt with, from the lowest to the highest
level, and was always thinking of better ways to approach stories
to make them more interesting and more useful for our demanding
readers.
In January 2001, she moved to Brisbane for family
reasons and continued to work for the magazine from home there.
She developed many useful contacts for AdNews, helping to raise
the magazine’s profile significantly in Queensland. She
wrote regular contributions for two of our other publications
– Australian Creative and the professional photographic
magazine, Capture.
While we valued her work highly and wanted to
support Jeni in her wish to operate from Brisbane, the company
reserved the right to transfer the position back to head office
if the arrangement proved to be impractical. Unfortunately, it
did prove ultimately to be that and we transferred the position
back to Sydney, which resulted in Jeni’s resignation.
We were sorry to see her leave the company as
she have proved to be a great asset. She leaves with our highest
recommendation.

To Whom It May Concern
I have worked with Jeni Goodsall for over five
years and have known her to be a highly efficient and dedicated
worker – someone who you can rely on 100 per cent to deliver
what she says she is going to deliver, when.
Jeni is also a people person and she has made
many friends in the advertising and marketing industries. She
is well presented, never late and always willing to go the extra
mile. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Her only weakness
is that she often gives too much – but that is, of course,
to the benefit of her employers!
Please feel free to phone me on 02 9213 8294 for
further information.

Life Saving Queensland
24 May 2005
Dear Jeni
On behalf of Surf Life Saving Queensland I would
like to congratulate you as one of the organizations recognised
in our 2005 Media Awards, presented last week.
Life Gold Coast received a High Commendation for
“Best Print Support – Surf Life Saving”.
Your ongoing contribution to Surf Life Saving
is greatly appreciated. The great promotion you give our activities
and lifesaving services, as well as the fantastic fundraiser to
celebrate Life’s 1st Birthday, certainly helps recognise
the efforts of our lifesavers here in Queensland.
Your support very specifically to the local Gold
Coast and Tweed Clubs is also very significant and on behalf of
the Clubs and their members, we thank you.
The Queensland Media Awards give us the opportunity
to recognise and thank the media who support our cause. Your ongoing
support ensures that you are a worthy recipient of this award.
We were sorry you could not join us on the night,
but it was lovely to meet your Life colleague Gary Ward and his
wife Michelle. I look forward to catching up with you sometime
soon.
Thank you again for your continued support of
Surf Life Saving Queensland and I look forward to working with
you as we move towards another busy summer season.
Yours sincerely,
Elissa Keenan

Dear Jeni,
I am writing to thank you for your ongoing support of the Glades
Residences project being developed by Thakral Holdings.
While you have been encouraging and supportive of the project
for some time, it has been demonstrated most clearly by your valued
input into the recent successful launch of our most prestigious
pavilion style golf and waterfront homes in the Peninsula precinct.
I extend a hearty thanks from the team, in particular our public
relations consultant, Debra Graham, the sales and marketing manager,
John Brass and myself as project director. In particular, we acknowledge
your efforts in providing the contact with Black Pearl Epicure,
the sourcing of the beautiful aroma reeds and candles to impart
exotic perfumes during the evening and providing a splendid door
prize and your liaison with the distributors of Smirnoff and Johnnie
Walker Blue as well as Yves St Laurent which so generously donated
to the evening and the gift bags.
The addition of the Aston Martin and Jaguar vehicles certainly
added that final touch of prestige. While much of this has been
undertaken as part of your role with Aura magazine, we would extend
particular gratitude to you who has truly become a friend of the
Glades project. I think we would all agree that the caviar cocktail
event saw the coming together of many lifestyle brands and businesses
to create a formidable partnership of prestige to show what living
at the Glades is all about.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could also
pass on our gratitude to the distributors of Smirnoff and Johnnie
Walker Blue for their very generous support. Also our thanks to
YSL for the Cinema perfume bottles which captured the attention
of all the women!
We are all anxious about seeing the editorial
coverage in Aura on the event “For this with expensive tastes”.
We also look forward to continuing a mutually beneficial relationship
with you and Aura magazine in the future.
Yours faithfully,
Bernard Durack
